  • Its odd...when im down..the blues actually cheers me up!

  • @switchest26 Yup, that's what the blues does. To take the worst, darkest, most isolating feelings - and sing them aloud, to share them, to actually assert them in song - there's something so paradoxical about that. The result is joy. It makes no logical sense, but that's the way it works.

  • Beaucoup plus émouvante que la version de BB king, magnifique Memphis Slim !

  • @MonicaDupont Thanks...well put :-)

  • You know, I've been singing the blues for over half a century. When something bad or sad happens, somebody always says"I guess you'll be singing the Blues now".Nothing could be further from the truth ! The Blues is a story about what happened-not what's going on at the moment.I've talked to famous old friends like Joe Williams about this & he agreed with me.You can't sing the Blues when you're down-you sing it when whatever was wrong is over and done with.So you're absolutely right !

  • @searcherboy

Yeah, listening to joyous music when I'm sad never does me well.

Music is soothing when it expresses what you're feeling, not combating it.

  • Incrível!!! Ta explicado porque bb. king fazia couvert desse cara.

  • @William6likes6Rock

I couldn't have said it better, myself. It is very good shit.

  • Sheer Genius is All I Can say R.I.P. My Friend..Thank you for the Lesson.Cheers From Canada.

  • B.B.'s version is more rockin'; this version is more jazzy.

  • I first heard B.B. King's version of this song, but I like this better. It has a groovier feel to it.

  • man...memphis sure could sing the blues!
