Dozens of zombie-costumed dancers took to the streets of Victoria on Canada Day to re-enact the late Michael Jackson's Thriller dance. Britt Small, co-artistic director of the theatre troupe Atomic Vaudeville, led the "flash mob" to Centennial Square, the Government and View Streets intersection, Bastion Square and the front of the Empress to perform. A large '80s red and black blared the music while passersby gathered to watch - and some joined in. The event was planned as a tribute to the King of Pop. Atomic Vaudeville has included the Thriller dance in several past shows.
