This movie is absolutely awesome. Much respect for straight actors being unafraid to portray characters whose stories that so need to be told regardless of such small differences such as sexual orientation. Get into this movie Mi Gente!

This is truly an amazing film, drenched in Black history, the civil rights struggle, the gay rights movement and, topped with the cherry on top, the harlem renaissance, that wonderful albeit forgotten area where Blacks, for a brief and exquisite time, had collectively risen to a new dimension. Deiinitely a must-see film.
