After Effects Fire

This is a special effects test I made with Adobe After Effects.

I did this by filming a flame on a black background (it was a T-Shirt actually), and set the transfer mode on the layer to screen. Then I masked out the lighter, and tracked the flame to match my hand from another clip I shot. I also tweaked it a little bit with different distortion plugins.

lol, check my channel, the main video is a short film called Peep Wars. About 30 seconds into the movie our actor lights a cigarette with a light saber. :D PM me and I'll tell you how to do this for your video.
