One of the most beautiful steel guitar instrumentals I've ever heard. It was recorded by Sonny Garrish on the Po'Boys album Pick Again. I was honored to have my wonderful friend David Karr accompany me on this. David has left us but he was a most talented musician and loyal friend. He was from the Seattle, San Francisco and Las Vegas areas. This was recorded with a hand-held tape recorder lying on the tuning keys of my EMMONS push-pull steel guitar; standard 8 & 4 pedal arrangement.

  • Sweet sound Ray.....love it

  • Ray you made my day as my Grandmother was Lorena ,she raised me .

  • Beautiful!

  • I think this is the standard bridge for "Sweet Lorena", the same one John Hartford performed on his PBS special. My recently uploaded attempt was different, as derived from the Norman Luboff Choir version. Wonder how two versions came about. Hope you visit my site, take a listen, and leave a comment/rating. Cordially,John
