The 1080p file, over an hour, is 944Mb! That's tiny! How'd you do that?

Actually, it's YouTube's "processing" that made the file size so small. The original export (h.264 at 3.5mps) was 2.3gb.

Great review. I have to say that as a relatively new html developer I always assumed that most if not all these functions were already possible. Perhaps the html5 doctype is simply shorter. My question is why do we not simply use xml to bring all these hypertext markup software to the same page using legends?

Compressors can squish the file sizes more when from frame to frame not much changes on screen (it analyzes the difference between frames and for all the parts that didn't change, it doesn't re-describe those parts), which is exactly how this file is.

Horrible overhead. HTML is not for applications. It will never be because it wasnt intended for such a job. Whatever you do with it, its only getting worse. What was intended to make life easier became completely unmaintanable by human beings. You need management software because HTML and rich, safe and fast applications are mutually exclusive. Javascript is a mess and CSS is something for lunatics. But the majors like it. Mainly because it generates quite a lot of profit more biz with IDEs.
