  • good bro fine groove

  • Having trouble getting instruments to play on the track. Manual just says to play it like you do in real time write. that's not working though. :/ help?

  • Su-wag

  • lol... the boss dr-5 was my very first piece of musical equipment, way back in 1999... good shit.

  • @RMendiola4 Boss has the manual as a PDF on their site. You need the manual. There's a tutorial and if you run through that you will know how to use it - if you didn't figure it out yet. I just noticed you asked that a year ago. I guess you probably figured it out or threw it out by now, lol.

  • @briansudds i usually just record it off the dr5 to my cakewalk

  • @ycemanplatnum hey man my name is bizzle420 how do i get my beats of the machine via midi im usnig the dr-5 with reasons 3 as a midi controler

  • Ohh snap!!!

Its nice 2 see a fellow DR-5 user showcasing his work.

I have one that I found in a mom and pop instrument store years ago, and it changed my life. Out of all the equipment that I have, the Boss DR-5 is 'still' at the heart of my beatmaking..

U have inspired me 2 post some of my own work as well, thanx 4 sharing this slamming track.

    Peace

  • @yamoaka1 There is DR-5 Edit Ev, which is a free(evaluation) software program that allows you to download and save the info from your machine to your PC, but other than that, I don't know of anything for the DR-5. Theoretically, if you and another user wanted to swap files, you should be able to do so. Kits, beats, system info, etc. I think you can edit the sounds via software with the full version, but it's like $65, which is more than you would spend buying a DR-5 these days :/

  • Great Trackz!! You got Skillz Bro! Is there anything interactive on the internet for the DR5? You'd think Roland or Boss would lump somthin' like that out there for long time dedicated catz.
