  • @kattastrophik I think people are attracted to these types of shelters because it's right in your garage and it's easy to get to. But that's the problem. You are sitting under a strcuture that will likely fall on top, plus a heavy vehicle fill with gas, oil, antifreeze, and other shit that might spill around you due to damage from the tornado. i dont want to be trapped under all that. Shelters AWAY from your home in the back yard are better. Think smart, not easy. You picked the better choice.

    I'd be concerned about if a tornado did happen to destroy the house, would the people inside the shelter be trapped under rubble? I'm getting one installed in 2 days, but it's going to be right outside the back door.

  • I have a garage that was closed in sometime ago before I bought my house, I'm thinking of digging out a hole and installing one of these type shelters. it's would at least give me peace of mind. but i'm thinking a little bigger so we can sleep in it over night. just in case. good video and nice job.
