The vines are growing, the fruit is showing. So now what to do? Try my recipe for pesticide if the caterpillars are having a party.

  • sounds like heaps of space, you go!

  • thanks dave. try to pick off as many of the caterpillars as you can or you can make your own chilli pesticide (see my vid), they won't eat it then. Dipel is a good insecticide for caterpillars, not organic but low toxic.

  • Nice marijuana

  • they grow tomatoes all year at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in a greenhouse

  • @spyknife

i'm sure it'd work, but the slimey stuff encasing the seeds retards how many seedlings you'll get. whenever you collect seeds from tomatoes, you remove that slime and ferment the seeds for a couple days, then let them air dry.

  • tomatoes are not the most exciting thing you could grow of all things

  • i dont think you can but you can scrape the seeds straight out of a ripe, fresh tomato into the soil and it will grow nicely.
