This is the coolest video you'll ever see. The sound and ripple wake on the water really add to the coolness. It takes one hell of a pilot to fly through two aircraft carriers, let alone at supersonic speed

  • That ripple-effect on the water occurs way before the speed of sound is broken if flying low enough. In this video, the f14 is not at the speed of sound. He is close, definitely flirting with it, but if you pause the video right when you hear him, he isn't quite at the camera yet. Meaning you can hear the f14 a split second before he gets past the camera. Which can ONLY mean he was NOT traveling at or faster than the speed of sound. He is damn close though

  • the other naval vessel is a guided missile cruiser. I served on USS Spruance DD-963 the first and finest of its class. My she rest in Davey Jones Locker.
