The Democratic Republic of Congo holds some of Africa's major mineral resources. Yet poverty is rampant, in the very regions where riches can be found. Thousands of children like these toil in mines to support their families. When diamonds are the only game in town, how can you convince parents to seek education for their children ?     The crew filmed what they were allowed to film by the AK47 wielding soldiers.

  • American kids complain about working at Wallmart. Kids in the Congo complain about working in the hot sun for 13 hours.

  • Kalashnikovs, not M16s? That hard to believe. Also, where is the presence of the foreign interests purchasing these diamonds.

  • Too bad that the only thing we can do is donate, while the amounts we can get together are dwarfed by the amount corporations pay to keep atrocities like this happening. They gain money, but at what cost?
