Dressage test at Majestic Farm, November, 2011
USEA Novice Level
"Rhyland"--- is an 8 year old Thoroughbred gelding currently competing at the Novice Level in eventing. He has solid training level dressage movements, a great gallop, and is bold on cross country. Rhyland does ditches, water, banks up and down, and coffins. He came off of the track as a four year old and stood in a field for 2 years. I have had him for less than 2 years, and he is already jumping training level height fences (3'3''), novice-training level cross country fences, and is working on first level dressage movements. He is the grandson of the great Secretariat, and is a phenomenal athlete. He will be competing this year at the novice and training levels with the athletic ability to do much more. He is barefoot and is currently ridden 4-5 days per week. He is completely sound, and has had no health issues in the nearly 2 years I have owned him. He has been to many shows, has been trail ridden by a non-rider, and behaves well wherever he goes. Though he is an extremely uncomplicated ride on the flat, he requires an experienced rider over fences at this point in his training. He scores in the 30's in dressage (60% or higher) and has never had a cross country penalty. I am currently asking $8,000 for him, but the price will increase as his training progresses.
