  • is a 55watt offroad light somthing that is to bright for traffic because i bought 2 55watt offroad lights for my brush guard because my stock lights just arent bright enough

  • @rradford43 Any light that is pointed above the beam of your headlight will be annoying to traffic. Common courtesy says to just shut off your lights when approaching traffic or point them down toward the road at equal to or below your headlights.

  • If i put 2 KC 130Watt daylighters on my 97 serria will i need a bigger alt to run them???

  • @youdragon For these regular halogen lights, the amp draw is significant. Consider the alternator's age and your vehicle's current amperage needs. Your vehicle's stock alternator is capable of 105 amps, which should be enough, but 140 amp alternators are available at any auto parts store. Measure your alternator's amp draw w/an amp meter w/all accessories turned on minus the KCs. Then flip the KCs on and take the same reading. If it's maxing out, then consider upgrading. Otherwise youre good.
