In this lesson, students learn that the first step in all factoring problems is to check to see if a Greatest Common Factor can be factored out of the original polynomial. The problems in this lesson combine the following types of factoring: factoring out the Greatest Common Factor, factoring trinomials, and factoring the difference of two squares.

  • @nem700 Yeah I'm looking at a problem that doesn't have a common factor and STILL no help here.

  • This is 2 complex

  • DEAR MATH , GROW UP AND SOLVE YOUR OWN PROBLEM !

  • I wish my teacher was this helpful

  • This guy is freaking awesome. I wish he was my teacher. Then I would actually learn in school.

  • Thank u

  • What if the front number was like a fucking 7?????

  • Teachers need to loosen up.

  • factoring essentialy means dividing by. he said it but didn't show it. 3 factors into 3= 3 divids by 3 (once or 1), 3 factors into to 6 ( twice or 2), 3 factors into 24 (eight times). if you're trying to teach yourself math or your teacher sucks there is a great book that goes over everything you need to know from very basic decimals fractions all the way up to trig, probability, and statistics.

BARRON'S E-Z MATH. it's a small book. you can work through it in a week and a half. $20. amazing

  • Laymen terms would of been useful, since you're using terminology that my math teacher doesn't use. Also writing out the steps, instead of implying we understand it where you get your next step.
