Ray travels to the other side of the planet to hear from Australian Aboriginals about what food means to a hunter-gatherer and the role it plays in their culture as well as their society. Along with many other discoveries, the trip sees Ray sample that most iconic of 'bush tucker': the witchetty grub, a huge maggot that lives in the roots of the witchetty bush.

  • Poor Gordon, you can see the poor fella about the regurgitate before he has even eaten it!

Best part: "you can sense it is nutritious, your body tells you..." How polite.

  • On hot ashes, or even in a bit of oil in a pan or similar. Very nice. I get these when I go camping, bush treat. :)

  • you would think they would have altered the intro song since this episode is about Australia not britain.

Ray should have toasted the grubs over hot ashes aswell so gordon could taste it both ways. Toasted is delicious.
