You should pick up a copy of, "When will Jesus bring the Pork chops?" It's crazy funnnyy! At least check it out on Amazon. The book has nothing to do with Religion, but perhaps you could send it to your mom as a way of "breaking the ice."

Just to start the topic and get you guys talking. No need to spill EVERY heart filled detail in one night. Baby steps. Being with the beginning.

i see what your saying , but it's not worth the shitstorm i would have to deal with. and like i said, she takes it so personally it would break her hart. and really she is moving and i won't have to hear about it as much. so i feel it's just easier.

Looking at it from our perspective, it's easy to see how ridiculous it is for somebody to be sad that someone close to them doesn't share their spiritual beliefs (or have any at all in cases like mine), but from their point of view it's perfectly understandable. It's good that you care so much, and I wish there was a better solution than "ignorance is bliss". Be prepared, though, for the possibility that she might find out somehow. The truth can hurt, but it's important.
