1.7 mw Micro_SG - fastest, lowest power SG on the planet! I added the third coil to charge a second or third battery. Made from a toy called "top secret" that you can find on the internet somewhere for 10 bucks. This one spins at 2600 rpm, and circles the bowl around 300 rpm. Will get rid of the second 300 rpm spin next...

  • i have to correct you... the coil will be firing when the north side leaves the coil AND it will be firing when the south side approaches the coil... so that is two pulses per rotation... resulting in an RPM of 1300...

Also, judging by the wobble that thing has, i'm calculating only 600RPM based on the gyroscopic effects that a spinning magnet should create.

Please use a tachometer to measure RPM...

  • very cool I wonder if you could use that 2600rpm to spin a small motor and generate power if so I'm pretty sure you could get more out than in I.e overunity

  • very nice.

  • creative and cool

  • holy shiznit!! that is freakin cool.

the "top secret" toy obviously has a magnet in it, you must have messed with this for hours trying to keep it in the cup.

have you tried multiples in a bigger bowl? or even a spherical magnet, like those monopole buzzers?
