ArtistGyan.com - Interviews of upcoming Artist from Mumbai. Present Guest Sneha Patil is a student of L.S.Raheja School of Art. She is doing Applied Art (Commercial Art).


ArtistGyan : How did you get into Applied Arts?

Sneha Patil : Hi, My name is sneha and from school days i love drawing. In school days i took part in many drawing competitions because i had interest in it. I wanted to go to J.J school of art but it din't workout so i took admission in Foundation. In Foundation i came to know about different streams like Fine arts, Commercial art (applied art), and many more so i got interested more in commercial art. After finishing my foundation i took admission in commercial art in L.S.Raheja shool of art. Its good over here.

ArtistGyan : What Inspires you or motivates you to do Artworks?

Sneha Patil : I like to do drawing but when my elder sister use to draw i get inspired from her to draw then while reading a book or a novel when imagine it or visualise it and make an artwork that also gives inspiration. and the day today issues happening in the world, i also do artworks on them.

ArtistGyan : Where do you see yourself in next 5 years?

Sneha Patil : Now i am in commercial art, 2nd year. i wish to get the CAG this year. After 5 yrs i am willing to work and study more and i want to work as a 'Creative Head' in good companies as an Illustrator.

ArtistGyan : If you get 5 Lac Rs. how will you spend it?

Sneha Patil : If i ll get 5 lac rs. first of all i ll buy a good Laptop then a lots n lots of art materials may be whole shop :) and may be i ll open a website as yours.

ArtistGyan : What advice would you like to give to a beginner/newcomer to this field?

Sneha Patil : When I came into this field i was very confused, everyone was saying take degree, do degree its better but theres nothing like that, now i am doing diploma, diploma/degree does'nt matters bas you should work hard and do what you want to do and be up-to-date always about the field you choose.
