Lots of birds over the back garden

This video shows a large number of starlings (Strunus vulgaris) the difference between this and other clips I've seen is that this lot are only a few feet away in the field at the bottom of garden, the video was taken at the end of February 2011. The village in the background is Aberporth, West coast of Wales. Sometimes when I tell people that we have a lot of birds flying over I can see that they just might think that I'm exaggerating but take a look at this, I think there's a lot of birds here, what do you think? If I get the opportunity to video some really big flocks of birds I will post them on YouTube. If you look at my other videos you'll see we have White Kites, Red Kites and Buzzards flying over. We have the RAF Jets come over the house in pairs but they're always too quick for me, by the time the camera has woken up they're out of sight.

It’s lovely to look out of the window and see them all but the best displays are the ones I haven’t got. One day I videoed a beautiful rolling flow of birds they look like a shoal of fish in the sky performing their acrobatics. In my excitement I’d pressed the record button twice, so I’d started it and stopped it without realising. Such is life; they’re back right now so maybe I’ll catch them this year.
