@Seiferzed ok the problem was that in windows 7 if you have your comp performance set to best appearance ( which almost all of win 7 users chose because of Aero themes ) somehow the edge preview does not update ... i spent about 3 hours figuring that out in maya the auto render update thing and again 3 hours in XSI searching why the heck it doesn't show me those red edge lines , and i think Autodesk should REALLY fix this kind of things cause its frustrating ...
