  • I was delighted to find this video. I loved this film particularly for the George and Gracie. I was hoping that the person who posted this video might also post the other dance number with George and Gracie in the Fun House. Just loved it.

  • Thanks for posting these from Damsel in Distress. A favorite movie of mine from years ago. Any more clips of dancing, singing (A Foggy Day in London Town, hint hint) or Burns and Allen would be welcomed. Superb!

  • A 1 idiota no le gusta el genio de Fred Astaire.

  • Great video! Fantastic dancers...though I still don't know how Gracie did that in those shoes... :D Thanks for uploading this!

  • Fantastic! I didn't know George Burns could dance. Now this is entertainement folks!

  • by the way, for those who want to know: the title of the song is "put me to the test"

  • comedy in great dancing and tricky dick's head on the night! Timeless..

  • Thank you so much for the video! I'm definitely putting this in my favorites.

  • Cutest dance sequence ever. :D I find something new every time I watch it. (See my post below about George's notes on this film)

  • George Burns' book: Gracie, A Love Story, p. 204 explains: " starring Fred Astaire based on a P.G. Wodehouse story" .. "first film Astaire had done without Ginger Rogers" "score had been written by George and Ira Gershwin - it was the last complete score George Gershwin had written before his death" "directed by George Stevens"

Nervous over Astaire having power to approve them based on their dancing, George hired vaudevillean to teach them this. Astaire loved it and worked it into the film.

  • Thanks for this video!
