According to Julius Evola, writing in 1934, the Atlanteans were Hyperboreans Nordic supermen who originated on the North pole.
Alfred Rosenberg (The Myth of the Twentieth Century, 1930) spoke of a "Nordic-Atlantean" or "Aryan-Nordic" master race.

@Wtown06tt Actually given the timeline, Christianity wasn't even much of an idea at the time. There were literally no real christians at the point "Atlantis" supposedly existed. Islam and Judaism were both still running strong though.
