    Peace,

  • I wonder if this will be any good for an expensive bicycle ? I mean only switching it on when you lock your bicycle somewhere public. and then switching it off when you go home. I am assuming it should last weeks if not months, am i rite? But there is the concern that someone might snatch the device and leave the bike, the device on its own is expensive enough to be worthy of stealing. Any ideas of a practical way to rig this thing to a bike securely ?

  • @semo2010,

I remember a device that passed my inbox a while back. It was aimed at the hardcore cyclist. It was a GPS tracker that was part of the pedal mechanism. It was inside the frame and the only indication that it was on was a small LED light at the base of the handlebar. As long as you pedaled for 15 minutes a day, the GPS stayed on.

I can't remember the name of the device or if it actually made it to market, but I'll see if I can find it.

    .

    Peace,

    Fr. Robert

  • @semo2010 When new, the Zoombak keeps a charge for as long as 5 days. After about 3 months, it only keeps a charge for about 20 hours. It takes about 4 hours to charge it.
