Where shall I be. It is a great picking fest and/or feast. I am in Poor Valley and surprisingly enough I am meeting a few people who actually remember AP and one man told me of his buying candy at AP's store and he always got his money back. Just like AP to give away all he owned. What a man!

There is nothing more in this world I love more than The Carter Family, and I would give everything I own to meet A.P., Sara and Maybelle.. But they are dead tough!

This song was recorded between 1927-1934. I have it on the Carter Family collection box I bought, 5 cd! It's a collection og their best song in the years 1927-34..

Woody Guthrie once said that he just stole music. If you listen to his records maybe 1/8 of them are derived from carter family tunes. and lets not forget, carter family came 20 years prior.

My God. I just read this. My dad. Had those Carter Ears. He was a dead ringer for AP Carter. Funny soneone would mention the ears. We are kinfoks to AP. Dad was 3rd cousin, but the ears went on down the line.
