YAL at USF was on campus Nov. 9 to commemorate the fall of the Berlin wall and educate students about the dangers of communism and it's unfortunate resurfacing in America today. The student in the black shirt is not a member of YAL.

  • "Constitution doesn't say anything against this"

Because the things the Federal government does isn't explicitly granted in the constitution, or its very "fuzzy", welfare clause, commerce clause.

"So which country should we emulate"?

There is no one country, but perhaps several countries of which certain things we could emulate, but of course take farther.

  • e.g

-Sweden/Switzerland's foreign policy of Neutrality, non-intervention. But not be involved in beyond representation in the UN, and all the various accords which increase the power of government and take away the rights of humans.

-Portugals decriminalization of drugs (since I do not know of any state that has legalized them.)

    Hong-Kongs incredibly liberal economy. etc
