  • Saying Merry Christmas to a stranger is like saying birthday. You could assume they're religious just as you could assume its their birthday. If you're the type of person who thinks its a good idea to say happy birthday in the hopes its correct to strangers then merry christmas is for you.

  • maybe because some of us aren't christian and don't celebrate it? you can say it, that's fine. don't force me (or assume that I should) say it.

  • It's not ridiculous. What's ridiculous is how so many people believe that Jesus was born in December 25. Is it in the Bible? No. Most of the holidays celebrated by Catholics originated from Pagan practices. I hope you know what paganism is. I hope that didn't offend anyone... because those are true and hard facts.

  • This is a precursor of more things to come in time. If i went on and explained however, it would "offend" someone.
