The genres Grind core and Gore grind are unlike Metal in plenty of ways. Sure, most of the bands in those genres usually have the same sounding music, but Metal gets way too generic.

@Smkiller Slipknot's vocal performance sounds like dramatized screamo. They try a little too hard to be hardcore with their plastic halloween-esque masks..
Hmm, who's done that before? Gwar, oh yes, how could we forget them? I'm not implying that Slipknot stole their ideas, however what they do is nothing new, nothing out of the ordinary, just rehashed metal head shit that a 9 year old kid could handle.
I sometimes call them Generic Metal Band A. General Surgery however is brutal & very unique.
