My bad hahaha I just saw it was a rental. I pay about $140 an hour for the 172 I fly.

Why a DA 20. I think for the money I would rather have a nice 172 or an old bonanza??? Or sone kind of vans rv

I wouldn't go as far as to say a powered glider. They do have excellent glide rations though. The wing was however derived from a glider wing. I always felt very safe in the DA40 I flew. I had confidence that wing would allow me to get to a safe landing spot.

@tonynsx yea this really is just a powered glider and im not sure im a huge fan of that i can obviously see the advantages in certain situations but it almost seems like the engine was an afterthough

It's a two place. Basically a powered glider. A good thing since I'm flying over water now. Fuel burn is about 4-5 GPH. 24 Gallons of usable fuel. 120 Knots
