i see some people just look for something wrong with the cheifs all the time . just except it was a great draft. and he was the best o lineman.
-
I've played and coached o-line. The lineman in this year's draft with the best feet was without a doubt Ryan Clady from Boise St. Guy is a freak of nature and has phenomenal feet.
Albert can get to the second level, but once engaged in his blocks, his mechanics and footwork leave something to be desired.
I don't feel like watching the vid again, jeez, see for yourself, I think it was about half way in - on the touchdown block. He plants then lunges.
-
I dont think you understand O-lineman footwork. He had the best footwork in the whole draft. Churning your feet doesnt make you effective in the NFL, good mechanics and footwork do, which happen to be his best assets. If they played a game today, he would be playing, they just rested him for the rest of OTAs. When does he plant both feet and lunge? Give me a time frame.
-
lol what? his footwork is his best asset, its probobly better than jake long's... and he sprained his ankle. big fuckin deal. hes not on IR.
-
Needs major improvement in footwork once he engages in his blocks. At one point I saw him plant both feet and "lunge" against his opponent. The result was that TD... but that just doesn't work at the NFL level.
Keep his feet churning and he'll be worth the 15th overall pick. He needs to stay healthy though, already got banged up a bit at KC OTAs.

Very athletic. Good run blocker, needs work in pass blocking. Go Chiefs!

He's very Marcus McNeill.

I agree, FUCK the Eagles, we can use him pretty much anywhere it just depends on how the rest of the draft goes if we get 1 or 2 more O-Linemen
he's a chief!!!! fuck the eagles

Looks like an athletic lineman that can pull and leadblock extremely well, but IMO, he needs to improve in the trenches. Not a very strong finisher either. Obviously a great strength of his is that he can play virtually anywhere on either side of the center. It looks like KC made a solid pick. Go Chiefs!
