This is one of my MH-60S Knighthawk helicopters banking off the deck of the amphibious assault ship, U.S.S. Essex (LHD-2).

At the time I was deployed with "Det. 6" (Detachment 6) to Japan and the Essex as part of my squadron HC-5 (Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Five, based on Andersen AFB in Guam).

Taken March 4th, 2003 @ 1427, somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...

  • @RhinkeySay Yeah, actually I know that... Also called a Seahawk, I'm not sure why I said it was a Blackhawk.. Mabye I was drunk or something...

  • @getous The 60B is a Blackhawk. The 60S is a Knighthawk. So no.
