Sorry, ran out of space. Just wanted to mention the 'crap' comment as being somewhat harsh. Music doesn't always need to be a comparison contest. Remember, what floats your boat may sink somebody elses.
All I know is I really miss that time, when Sweet, Slade, Mud, T-Rex and Bowie ruled in the glam years. The processed/sequenced/techno/rap years which followed did nothing for me, but others appear to enjoy this, so I'll leave it with them to appreciate. Ok. Time to listen to Sweet again.

Sweet is an underestimated band band but they were no no influence to punk rock,maybe to american glamrock bands.The sweet meant lot to me but they are crap compared to the clash and stiff little fingers

Those bands are not comparable. There's not even reason to do so. Influence is one thing and all bands have their own way of expressions and acts. Not to mention different time and influence of politics and all kind of life styles.
So when you say "crap" you are just rude and it has nothing to do with music but with your own musical taste. And certainly nothing with your memories of the band which "once meant a lot " to you!
