Marcel plays this concerto on the February 17th, 2007 in Tallinn, Estonia.
P.S. He has a full-size cello for a couple of weeks now. So there is still some intonation improvement to be made yet ;)

  • cool! :) i'm playing this concerto too, in wich grade where you when you play it? :)

  • BRAVO. Very good, It is so good, congratulations... Keep always improving...

    Ty for posting it.

  • this concert is for cello :P

  • In fact the cello is ordinary insignificant Soviet instrument rented without any cost from Estonian National Orchestra - the one nobody else wanted for years. The sound is probably more caused by his teacher, 90-year old Grand Old Lady of Estonian cello school characterized especially by it's good sound. :)

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely playing! My 11 year old son is learning this piece right now so it's nice to be able to hear what it will sound like.

  • bravo very good as always....

  • Very beautiful, I like it very much... You are very talented !! 5*

  • There's no "real version wich goes into thumb position", as this concerto was written for viola and not for cello.
