This is just an experiment by Capcom, and if it fails, well, they'll probably just throw the whole DMC franchise out the window. Rather than make any effort to explain the story any further, they just put it in the "too hard" basket and decided to start from scratch. It was a lazy decision, and one that I don't think will pay off too well in the end. I think this is the end of DMC as a whole. They should have known better than to give it to a company with minimal experience in this genre.

@pivfighter By rambling on about "everyone just hates Dante's new look" you're adding fuel to a fire that went out long ago. Also, if you're going to pick on an expression, then it shows how juvenile you really are. I really didn't mind the story or characters before. They weren't overly fantastic, but they were fun and interesting.

It's lazy because rather than come up with ways to finish the story, they just started again and changed what they didn't like. That shows bad writing ability.

And don't tell me you thought the characters in the original series had any character development -_- they didn't (besides maybe Dante) And i gotta ask, how is it a lazy decision to reboot the franchise? i mean they've actually gotta do MORE work then if they hadn't , You sound to me like one of the typical butthurt fanboys

@pivfighter By the way, what you say about the old games is just an opinion, nothing more. If anything, you're the one adding fuel to the fire. And Capcom intends for this to replace the old games. Why else would they make the movie about this game and not the old ones? All I said about NT is they've had very little experience with the genre, not that I hated them. So again, you're jumping to conclusions. Learn to read before you open your mouth next time, seriously.

@pivfighter First of all I'm not a "dude" so you can shut the fuck up yourself. Second, I'm not bitching about Dante's look. There are far worse things wrong with this than just Dante's appearance. Most of the problem lies with Capcom anyway. Why don't you just settle down yourself and stop "fueling the fire" as you put it. I'm over it and moving on from this game as a whole. Don't bash someone's opinion unless you read a comment properly.
