I've hit a bit of a creative roadblock on my pet project, but fortunately I picked up this idea and ran with it instead. Making these videos has become enough of an undertaking that, through a combination of real-life chaos and unadultered laziness, getting things rolling on new material has been slow, so I apologize to my subscribers who still stick with it and give my new videos an obligatory click when they pop up.
I've been trying to take some lessons from the works of theLittleFears and MarbleHornets; downplay the visual dickery and focus more on the subtlety. This is the result of that effort. It came out with a decent length and a bit more of a minimalistic approach visually. I'm still grappling with some vexxing audio issues though unfortunately. Oh well.
The bottom line is this entire project took me about 60 minutes to conceive, write, record, edit, and publish, which is short compared to most of my newer projects, so this may be the way to go in terms of putting out new material a little more quickly.
The original creepypasta (uneditted, and with terrible spelling and grammar) is as follows:
"You will wake up in the middle of the night and see him next to you in bed, staring straight into your eyes. You will flinch and turn away, but when you turn back he'll be gone. This is when you know there's no turning back. It's observing you, trying to figure out how you work. Next it will move in with your family and take up your exact daily routine, acting exactly like you. Your family won't even know the difference. At this stage it will gradually be erasing your friend's and family's memories of the real you in the process. That time you went hunting with uncle john? They won't remember it. But they will recall the time you went fishing with him, something that has obviously never happened because you hate fish. Must be some sort of fake reality the demon made for himself.
Finally, Your friend's and family will accept it as you. That's the part that hurts the most. Everyone, even the very demon who worked so hard to take over your life will convince itself that its you. They will love it dearly and there's not a single goddamn thing you can do about it now.
Of course, you can always fight to regain your previous life. Start watching your Doppelganger, learn from his mannerisms, talk to your friends, remind them of your real history, start living with your family. After all, it's your life, isn't it ?"

Sound recorded using GoldWave.
Video synthesized in Windows MovieMaker.
All things considered, this is probably my favorites of the videos I've made so far.
A great way to start off Black History Month!
