That explains why one key is found "in the road" like you showed in the vid. Why the
other you can only find with Brown's nose, why the other you have to go to that room where a hidden witche's vioce tells you she hid it, and why the last one isn't found...Or at least I think. Haven't played the game fully through yet T_T

You should really do more videos. Your blog is awesome, but most of what is covered there isn't made into video form. Hopefully you catch this comment, I don't see you coming onto YouTube much.

Where is part two?

@patsybob also I'll add the idea that the orphans desire to be loved and wanted represented in the red crayon
(perhaps lipstick an icon of beauty in females) and also to be a part of family even if the aristocrat society is very abusive perhaps reflecting that they came from abusive familes and were tooken from their familes :(
"All they wanted was to be happy" :( its so true, I feel sorry for most of the characters

rule or rose, seems to me to have hints of growing up, the red crayon perhaps represents lipstick and maturity, also the one gift a month again hints at growing up and wanting maturity in a world where innocence, childish ideas and lack of adults are present shows that that the kids are expoilted by wendy and also mr hoffman as the hints of molesting children, although wendy isnt on the same level being a child herself and for apologising for what she did!

@RuleOfRoseMysteries You can download these images in the oficial game website.
what doesn't fit in for me is, in her disarranged memories, why does she meet Gregory Wilson in the Airship / (=> orphenage) every now and then ( and refers to him as " a man she has naver seen before )
and why does Wilson draw all those (poorly drawn) childrens books? is it all on wendy's behalf? =p

@Aquamaryann
Consistent with how Gregory, on the airship, is at first a man Jennifer has never seen before, Jennifer seems to meet Wendy for the very first time on the airship when Wendy is taking care of Mr. Bunny (that is, doing something relating to the orphanage), but Jennifer's first meeting with Wendy, in reality, was before Jennifer ever came to the orphanage. Jennifer's amnesia+repression+dreaming-mind distorts reality a lot.

@Aquamaryann
It is interesting to speculate about Gregory visiting the orphanage. Is he the man Jennifer sees in a lavatory mirror? Stray Dog seems to be lurking in a lavatory in the Sir Peter storybook.

Also, I wonder if there is any significance with Susan repeating the word 'shadows.' Is it only to practice pronunciation or maybe something else?
omnomtrang 2 years ago
@omnomtrang
Susan's motivation was probably just to repeat a word that she was unaccustomed to reading in order to reinforce her learning of it.
But, on another level, there was also some motivation for the RoR game-makers to want the game-player to remember the word "shadows", as you will see in part 2, so they may have written the scene as they did, with Susan repeating the word, for that reason.

Did you ever figure out what the tiny text said?
xkellylynn523x 2 years ago
@xkellylynn523x
The tiny text is mostly Engrish (spelling intentional) with a few Japanese words. Possibly a Japanese-to-English translator-program was used to compose it. Some of the names found in the tiny text don't match those currently in the game. I think that the tiny text was never officially meant to be in the game and that somebody just sneaked it in. So far, I don't think there is any value in what it says, but please take the link to my blog-site and judge for yourself.
