Using analyser~ algorithm for MAX/MSP software, I am able to convert monophonic guitar notes into MIDI events and map them to syths.

Here is the link for the patches and M4L devices: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38858505/Audio%20to%20MIDI.zip

  • Hey, This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! Is there a way I could convince you to email me your patch?

  • @BennickGAdeus added to the details :)

  • Hey man, care to share your patch? Getting to grips with sigmund now myself, trying to get the pitch tracking as accurate as possible... without blips, etc.

  • @thirdtimeyo in the details :)

  • I am very interest in how you did this. I use Fruity Loops and my keyboard (piano) has a MIDI to USB cable to allow me to play live with the effects. I would love to do this with the guitar.

I can figure out the options and settings within the program.... I just need to know how you hooked it up (what hardware did you use?). Thanks for the post. Cheers.

  • @sirpauli No hardware, all software. U can use the vst "mda tracker" to convert mono phonic input to synth or "max msp" to convert to midi with latency.
