Totally psyched to find this: I've been looking for this track for years. I had (mis) remembered their name as Bit O Honey instead of Bit's and Pieces (doh!). I had it back then on commercial cassette: an Island compilation, I think. The thing about that made an impression on me back then was the fatter, fuzzy bass line, compared to the Yarbrough & Peoples original. One of many inspirations in my lifelong obsession with low frequency funk ;-)

I remember hearing this on a rock radio station and being completely weirded out by it, especially since the original was so recent. Peace.
