@frizstyler the engine was on fire, he wanted to get down as quickly as possible and try to save the aircraft rather than eject and ditch an aircraft worth many millions of dollars. Whether or not he succeeded I don't think we'll find out.

@StevenNFFC That aircraft was from my unit. The #5 engine bearing failed causing the fire. The pilot landed doing around 220 KIAS (too fast) and ended up going off the other end of the runway, ejected and the aircraft was a total loss. Too much damage, grass and chickens.
