Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '57 Tele

This Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '57 Tele was selected for the 2010 Custom Shop Road Show, which should tell you something about what a spectacular instrument this is. It's truly the pinnacle of the Custom Shop's art, constructed from start to finish by Fender Masterbuilder Jason Smith and meticulously relic'ed for a realistically vintage look and feel. The 1 piece Quartersawn maple neck really makes this Telecaster feel like home, with a worn "soft V" shape, 9.5" radius fretboard, and 6105 frets. A lightweight premium Ash body, finished in striking Shoreline Gold with Gold hardware, keeps the weight of this Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '57 Tele at 7lbs for comfortable all-night rocking. And of course tone is king, so this Telecaster Relic is outfitted with handwound Abigail Ybarra pickups, a Hot Nocaster in the bridge and a Twisted Tele in the neck. With 3-way modern switching this Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt '57 Tele is much more versatile than it's vintage appearance would let on.
