A Slade video from the Slade Alive album!!

Lyrics:

Come, and talk of all things we did today
Hear, and laugh about our funny little ways
For we have a few minutes to breathe
And I know that it's time you must leave

Chorus
So darling be home soon
I couldn't bare to wait an extra minute
If you dawdle
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours I've been waiting
Since you toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to

And now, a quarter of my life is almost past
I, I think I've come to see myself at last
And I know that the time spent confused
Was the time that I spent without you
And I feel in myself in blues

Chorus
But darling be home soon
I couldn't bare to wait an extra minute
If you dawdle
My darling be home soon
Lyrics
It's not just these few hours I've been waiting
Since you toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to

Break

Go, and beat your crazy head against the sky
Try, to see beyond the houses in your eyes
It's OK to shoot the moon

Chorus
My darling be home soon
I couldn't bare to wait an extra minute
If you dawdle
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours I've been waiting
Since you toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to

  • Slade are one most versatile and most exciting rockbands ever, whatever ignorant child-minded Americans like Daniel Dummy may think. Noddy is a true legend. Slade influenced top 100 Greatest acts like Queen, AC/DC, Status Quo, Oasis, the Ramones, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, U2, the Clash etc. One of the most influential rockbands ever that could also do classical violin/piano based ballads, country, gospel, soul, jazz, punk etc. Grossly underrated, too bad they did not make it big in the U.S.

  • Lord, Noddy could sing. Such a vocalist.

  • @jjesske That is nice to here becoz they were not big in the US. Did they give any gigs in that area in Canada? Or did you see one of them by any chance?
