Rose Marie Mason introduces us to her her three teenage sons who have autism. Sean and Eoin are twins and are 19 years-old. Rose Marie describes Sean as "preferring not to speak". Michael is 16 and talks about his brain being like a computer.

@AdeoF you dont sound like you have austism my sister has it and all the people i've met with it even high functioning people who have it would sound like the comment you just posted and if you do i apologize just a lot of attention hungry people on youtube

Autism has only really recently been studied. It was diagnosed a while back (1910), yes, but often times people thought autistic children were just 'difficult' children. Only recently are researchers realizing that a great number of people - especially in science fields - are on the spectrum.
