  • Neil I met you at the Ponderosa Pub in Ft Lauderdale back in those days and everytime I see or here you now it takes me back to this time when you were with the International Harvesters.

  • I can listen to him all day. Thank you for sharing this.

  • amazing

  • There're rumors about a new unreleased publication. The upcoming album features Neil Young & Crazy Horse with many new songs written during '80. For this the canadian songwritter, actor, musician and cars maker, will work again for Gaffen Records cutting his collaboration with Reprise Warner Bros Records.

  • @jasoncolannino I've heard both of those. The ACL one is under 10 minutes and the New Orleans one is like 15 minutes. I've heard another version, but I can't recall the date. It was 20 minutes and I'm pretty sure Neil's referring to that one, because it's the most insane thing I've ever heard by him...or ridiculous, as he said. :)

  • thanks. enjoyed.

  • which is oprobably why Neil supported reagan in 84

  • there are 2 notable versions of Down By the River by the International Harvesters are either from Austin City Limits, or the soundboard recording from New Orleans both from 1984

  • What Down By The River performance is he talking about? Does anyone knowledgeable on that tour know which version he might be referring to?

  • There is an international work agreement between Canada and the USA. I was with Capitol Publishing under Capitol Records. There is a percentage of artists that have to be Canadian in Canada and also in the US. There were issues with Anne Murray similar to this. She was not immediately accepted into country music because she was not American. It was a different time. Neil's political ideas also did not jive with the average country music audience.
