NASA Space Shuttle Atlantic Final Goodbye from KSC with Bird in Flight

The final four astronauts bid farewell for the last time to the Space Shuttle Atlantic as a bird in flight majestically flies over.

The Space Shuttle program is now officially over. I stayed up most of the night to be a part of it. It's great how NASA-TV lets us be a fly-on-the-wall for as much as we do get to see. Space is still one of the few passions I feel I have from my childhood. I hope I live long enough to see the next chapter of NASA space flight begin as we extend the human footprint into deep space.
