Masten Space Systems successfully flew their Xombie vehicle on Oct 7, 2009, completing two flights and meeting the Level 1 requirements of the Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge. Will Pomerantz, Sr. Director of Space Prizes at the X PRIZE Foundation was on hand to witness their success.

That speed is necessary for an object with no thrust, per example an object shot by a canon at 2.4km/s from the moon ground it will escape moons gravity.
But ff you have constant thrust enough to produce upwards acceleration at ground level, and you can sustain for long enough, them you can escape any gravitational field you can imagine.

Hey buddy listen, If that craft has the ability to even lift off of the ground On EARTH it sure does have enough thrust to push off the surface of the moon.
Gravity on Earth is 9.80m/s^2
The acceleration due to gravity on the moon is -1.6m/s^2 which is 6.1 times less that of Earths.
Also, you don't have be a fucking prick about telling me to take some physics, I know my physics thank you very much.
