"Think About It", something you maybe should have done before commenting.
Firstly we did not pay, this was an activity we partook in whilst volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in Zimbabwee. This place works extremeley hard to conserve lions and also looks after several other species including the elephants, which are rescued animals and are cared for dearly by their handlers. Elephants have extremely thick skin and the point is needed so they can feel it, but it does not hurt

STOP USING THAT SHARP HOOK ON THAT POOR ELEPHANT! Stupid people....paying money to ride an elephant who is being tortured with a hook just so they can have a ride! Think about it.
