George Benson is in a class by himself, absolutely! Nobody sounded like him when he arrived on the scene in the late 1970's,,, and nobody sounds like him today, with the exception of one guitarist, but a mere shadow of Benson's abilities! This song says it best, genius!

I sing this against my better wishes I might add as my 'genre'
would first and foremost be jazz... But now ill sing it with great
pride, as im Irish and should be proud of same, after hearing
the masterful performance George has given of this why wouldnt
anyone embrace such a beautiful song and sing it with heart
Thanks for postong this... what an amazing performer George is..

I thought bagpipes were Scottish though....maybe George had been drinkin' some Guinness and he just fergot where he was....:~)
It's pretty cool, he's emulating the sound of a bagpipe, with all the slurs and bass-drone :) Pretty darn creative.
