Karl Kissner was cleaning out his grandfather's attic when he found hundreds of untouched baseball cards from an extremely rare series issued around 1910. Up to now, the few known to exist were in so-so condition at best. (July 10)

    @rsuriyop um dude i work for karl at the restaurant and it's not like between cleaning out the estate and trying to run the busiest restaurant in town that he had time right away to do research. some old cards are worthless. some aren't. you don't know until you do research so stfu!

    They are with the auction house now, but he did have them in safe deposit before that. He is a business owner, the family has ran Kissners restaurant in town for like 80 yrs.

    It seems that the value of collectibles has been generated by belief in the subject not the belief in the inherent value of medium they are created on and that growth in value was accidental and never planed for.
