As part of the Art Car Boot Fair, at The Big Chill Festival 2009, artist Oliver Guy-Watkins installed The Frozen Cinema for the first time.
Across 4 nights and 3 days the intimate cinema, dressed by special effects leaders Snow Business International and the artist, screened films by Marc Horowitz, Tim Key, Rob Sorrenti, Special Treats, Bronwen Parker Rhodes, Jessica Voorsanger and Adam James. There were also live performances from Gabby Young And Other Animals and Stephen Revere, as well as a Children's Frozen Story Hour.
Plans for the cinema to appear again in 2010 are currently being looked into.
