  • The large displacement 1,099 cc (67.1 cu in) V65 Magna attracted attention as Honda's entry in the 1/4 mile wars between manufacturers at the time, causing Suzuki to respond with the 1200 Madura (which had a 1/4 mile time of 11.66 s at 115.7 mph), and going up against such competition as the Suzuki GS1150E (10.47 s at 128 mph).[7] The V65 lay somewhere between these two in performance, posting a quarter mile time of 11.29 s at 119.2 mph (191.8 km/h).[3]

  • is there a v65 magna now???????????????

  • @ticul752 true but the Kawi didnt have nearly the power or the et's threw the 1/4 mile, as we all know the honda was the 1st to the 10 second 1/4 mile, even today you have to have a real good rider on a max to touch the et's that the magna turned over 25 years ago

  • @bubbaboggin08 so how long something last's determines whether or not its a muscle bike?? you are an idiot, the v65 was the first POWER CRUISER, the vmax came later after yamaha studied it and did there own version as did suzuki, but the magna will always be the first, besides even though the vmax had more power it didnt translate into faster et's at the 1/4 mile so there neener neener

  • get on one and see if it dont make you smile.... once the v booost kicks in you will think you hit nitrous

  • hey they are the original muscle bike, the honda lasted how long??????????

  • LOL @ "it goes like a scalded ape!"

  • NO I had a magna and now I own a vmax 2006 stock and the magna is realy below the max but yes its true the magna was before the max so the first on my point of view was the Kawazaki Z1

  • Get out dude!

  • nothing against this bike but i would say the original muscle bike was the magna, made in 1982 was the fastest production motorcycle
