Where, for the love of god, did those pictures come from. I would request the person who posted the video, to kindly make use of the vast collection of pictures that modern technology (Google image search in particular) makes available to us. The current depictions are nonrepresentative of the poetry. But then, what pictures could ever truly represent the beauty of this verse.

he means that he was totally in love with his beloved, thinking that was everything there was in the world. however he realised that there is much more in the world, things which distract him from matters of love. there is so much more to be sad about and happy about than love affairs. the pain of the world like bodies wounded and pus-filled and being sold in the market (prostition, illness and poverty) and all the existential angst basically. a clumsy summary of the beautiful poem :p

This gazal was written by Faiz Ahmed Fain using excallant urdu,he was a socailist in this gazal he is poeterying his love for Pakistan in disoppintment the lover in this case is his country Pakistan where he witnessed injustice and foresees the down fall his aim is to awaken the masses potrying realaties around
